What does La Paz mean?
Literally, “peace”, but the restaurant was named for a town on the Baja of Mexico.
Do you take reservations?
We currently do not take reservations.
If I don’t have a reservation will I have a long wait to be seated?
We do experience waits, especially on weekends, but we have two cozy bar areas and some space on our patio for customers to wait. Come on in—we’ll make you comfortable and normally things move along in a timely manner!
Where shall I park?
La Paz is fortunate to be located between three parking decks in the city. The Carroll Creek deck can be accessed from Market Street (turn right just beyond our building), the Court Street deck is right behind us (turn left at Citizen’s Way just after our building). and the new Patrick Street Deck is now open (park and then stroll down the Promenade to La Paz). Of course, there is street parking all around the downtown area.
Do you have handicap accommodations?
We are completely handicap accessible with an elevator to our second floor bar and dining area.
Is there a dress code?
We have a casual atmosphere.
Are there alternative selections for guests not wanting Mexican?
Absolutely! We have steak, burgers, and a variety of other menu options for everyone.
How about a kid’s menu?
We have a section on the menu for our little friends.
Do you reserve private parties?
We don’t have a private room per se, but we do try to accommodate groups for special occasions. Call us at (301) 694-8980 and we’ll discuss.
Are their job openings at La Paz?
We are always looking for energetic persons to be on our team. Please apply online or visit us and ask for Lindsey or Graham.
